Setting out to contemporise the entire interior of a large older style home on a rural property was always an ambitious project – it was my mum’s dream for her home and

we found the dream team to make it a reality.

Neil, Wendy and the team at Homz Transformation understood our vision from the outset and worked with us on design and modifications to open up space. The great relationships they hold with suppliers meant choosing appliances, lighting, fittings etc made for a fun experience and afforded flexibility for changes as the project progressed. The interior design expertise within the team was welcomed when the range of choice seemed overwhelming.

The changes made to the our house are significant and the capability required to re-engineer structural aspects of a home is a strength of this team. The outcome exceeded our expectations.

Our process is designed to make your renovation seamless and stress-free:

Initial Consultation: We dive deep into your goals, motivations, and budget to ensure we’re aligned with your vision. This stage helps both you and us decide if we’re the right fit for your project.

Preliminary Design: We create concept sketches based on your brief and provide cost estimates to ensure feasibility. If needed, we handle Development Assessments early on to streamline approvals.

Final Design: Detailed designs are developed, and we guide you through selecting materials with our trusted trade suppliers. At the end of this stage, we provide a fixed construction price.

Construction: Your dedicated Project Manager oversees every detail, ensuring quality control, regular updates, and smooth progress—so smooth you could even take a holiday while we work!

Handover: After completion, we walk you through your transformed home, address any final tweaks, and handle all Council documentation.

This process ensures your renovation is handled with precision and care from start to finish.

Once the scope of work is defined during the preliminary design stage, with input from our builder and engineer to ensure feasibility at the start, we engage a cost estimator to provide a realistic breakdown of costs, which includes all components of costs, such as materials, building cost, appliances, DA and/or professional services costs, joinery cost, pluming, electrical, each area cost, etc.

This allows you to make informed decisions about what to prioritize in your renovation and how to align it with your budget to avoid going in blind and hope for the best. If needed, we can also help you plan a phased approach

Yes, you can absolutely make changes during the project, but it’s important to understand that the cost of changes increases significantly as the project progresses. For example, a change during the preliminary design stage might cost $50 or even nothing, while at the final design stage it could be $500, and during construction, it might jump to $5,000. That’s why our process invests heavily in the preliminary design stage—we don’t just design, we think like builders, engineers, and certifiers from the start. By conducting feasibility studies and cost estimates early on, you can make informed adjustments before committing to the next stages, minimizing surprises and costly changes later.
